Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Tuggle is a focus timer and to-do app. It's built to be private by default: your tasks and the time you spend on them live on your device, and we collect as little as possible to make the app work. This policy explains what we handle, why, and the choices you have.

What stays on your device

The things you create in Tuggle — your tasks, tags, timer and focus-session history, levels, and XP — are stored locally on your device. We don't need a copy of them to run the app, and they aren't uploaded to us in normal use.

Anonymous sign-in

To enable the optional features below and to apply fair-usage limits, Tuggle signs you in anonymously the first time you open it. This creates a random identifier for your install. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location, and the identifier is not linked to your real-world identity.

Voice input

If you use voice to add or dictate a task, the audio you speak is sent to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) that converts it to text and returns the transcription to the app. The audio is used only to produce that transcription and is not used by us to identify you or build a profile. We don't retain the audio after the transcription is returned.

Planning assistance

If you use the planning feature to turn an instruction into a list of tasks, the text of your instruction and the draft tasks in that session are sent to a third-party AI provider (Google) to generate suggestions, which are returned to the app. This content is used only to produce your task suggestions for that session.

Usage and abuse prevention

We keep a small record tied to your anonymous identifier — counts of how many voice and planning requests you've made on a given day — so we can apply daily limits and keep the service fair and sustainable for everyone. We also use device-attestation technology to verify that requests come from a genuine copy of the app and to block automated abuse. This information is operational only; it isn't used for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.

What we don't do

Tuggle has no ads and no third-party advertising or analytics trackers. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it except with the service providers described above who process it on our behalf to deliver the features you use.

Cloud sync and the web dashboard

In the future, Tuggle may offer optional cloud sync and a companion web dashboard so you can access your tasks across devices and in a browser. If you choose to enable that, the relevant tasks and related data would be stored on secure cloud infrastructure so they can be synced to your account. This is optional, and this policy will be updated to describe it in detail before such a feature launches.

Data retention and deletion

Because your tasks and history live on your device, deleting the app removes that data from the device. The small anonymous usage records we keep are short-lived and tied only to your random identifier. If you'd like us to delete the usage data associated with your install, or you have any request about your data, email us and we'll take care of it.

Children

Tuggle is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we'll revise the date at the top of this page.
